Emergency Care for your Pet
If you have a veterinary emergency, please contact your local Best Friends Vet.
Unfortunately, there are occasions when your pet might need emergency treatment. It may have been in a life-threatening accident or have developed a sudden illness, which needs urgent care.
This can be very distressing but Best Friends Vet Group is there for you and your pet at these times when you need immediate advice and attention.
All of our Best Friends Vet Branches have a vet available to contact 24-hours a day, so you will be able to contact someone in an emergency. Our out of hours care is often provided by another Best Friends Vet Branch, where this isn’t possible it is provided by another local Vet practice.
To find out the details of the out of hours service your Best Friends Vet offers, take a look at their Branch page for details, including the telephone number to call in case of an emergency.
We also provide 24-hour care through our Veterinary Hospital. The Best Friends Broadway Veterinary Hospital, located in Peterborough, is open seven days a week providing a dedicated emergency service, so don’t hesitate to contact the surgery where our team will take care of your concerns – it is better to be safe than sorry.
Should your pet need to be hospitalised, you can be assured it will be in a safe pair of hands with our caring, trained veterinary nursing staff and a 24-hour on site veterinary surgeon.
