Grow your career with Best Friends Vet Group

At Best Friends Veterinary Group, we know how important it is to have a dedicated, caring team who will work with our pet owners to deliver the best possible care for our patients.

We are always on the lookout for the best people to join us as vets, veterinary nurses, animal carers and receptionists.

Staff development and training is essential to keep up our high standards. Our team regularly undertake courses so they can boost their knowledge and skills, and enable us to provide the best treatment and care for your pet.

Setting and Maintaining High Standards

All of our branches have reached and maintain the high standards of accreditation from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Having a highly-trained team is just one of the many requirements, alongside how we care for the animals who come to us, our hygiene standards, and transparency with our pricing.

Looking to the Future

We have pledged to keep investing in the future of the veterinary industry, to ensure that we are helping to train the next generation of veterinary staff. We run multiple RCVS-approved training courses for student veterinary nurses to qualify as Registered Veterinary Nurses.

Best Friends Vet Group provides these students with financial support, supervised practical sessions and one-to-one training with a qualified veterinary surgeon or nurse. Without these approved training centres student nurses would be unable to fulfil their chosen careers.

We are also keen to develop our Vets. Many Vets have a particular interest in one type of Veterinary Medicine, or wish to specialise in treating certain species. We support this, and help our Vets to continue to develop and learn throughout their career. Through this commitment Best Friends Vet Group now employs several veterinary surgeons who have or are studying for certificates in ophthalmology, cardiology, exotics and orthopaedics.
